When you meet all the requirements of your customers and keep them totally satisfied, they are likely to come back to your dog grooming business in future.

So, try to get involved personally whenever and wherever you can. There will be some customers who are very busy and some who are not. You need to stay in touch with both the categories of customers as they are very important for your business.

You can try using snail mail newsletters to keep in touch with customers who are busy. This is a very practical way to stay in touch with busy clients. You have to be prepared to put in a lot of effort in order to use it effectively. Still, in case the majority of your clientele comprises of such busy customers, then this is probably the best approach.

Normally, you should make these newsletters every month so that your customers know you are in business. Additionally, you can use these newsletters to keep your clients updated with any promotional offers or new products offered by you. It would be best to ask your clients if they agree to receive these newsletters.

You can organize special events to maintain contact with your busy clients. There are people who have been successful in using this approach for keeping in touch with the clients. You need to make sure that these events interest your clients. Make sure you make these events fun and informational. While this is an expensive approach, it is worth your money.

Dinners or lunch parties can also be held in an attempt to stay in touch with these busy customers. You can go for this option, if you are very close to your clients. Generally, these would not take more than an hour. When you are meeting your clients over dinner or lunch, ensure that you pay the bill.

Apart from the above approaches, you can also try calling your clients and talk to them over the phone. But check with them if they are willing to receive your call. If your clients prefer some other form of communication, then follow the same.

Even a simple email can help you in maintaining contact with your customers. Remember to write short and crisp emails. Your clients are already busy with their work and they don't have time to spend on reading long emails. You have to write an email featuring your services and products. You can include a link which could interest them. It would be better to send such emails once a month so that you don't interfere with the schedule of your clients.

There are also businesses which send birthday greetings to their clients. Greetings, unlike Christmas or holiday cards, are more authentic. Your clients would probably love to receive a birthday or Christmas card for their doggie friend. You can try this option by taking some personal data of your customers including their dog's birthday date.

As you can see, all of the above mentioned ways to keep in touch with your busy clients are very practical to use. These have a personal touch to them as well. Once you examine the list of your clients, you would be able to find out what is the best way to keep in touch with them.

It is important for your emails and newsletters to have a catchy content. Also, the content needs to have some kind of a personal touch. These should not be printed and sent just to collect money from your clients.

You also need to be reasonable when maintaining contacts with your busy clients. While it is necessary to maintain contact, it definitely does not mean that you need to correspond often. A short and friendly reminder when the next shampoo and groom is due for their dog is sufficient.
